Biomedical Medical / Welfare Identification of a new drug candidate
for the treatment of neurodegenerative disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), using iPS cell drug discovery technology and its clinical trials |

We are conducting research to elucidate the pathology of psychiatric and neurological disorders and drug discovery using iPS cells and cutting-edge measurement technology. In particular, we have identified ropinirole, a drug that suppresses the phenotype of ALS, a neurodegenerative disease, and has been conducting clinical trials using this drug since 2018 with the aim of gaining early approval.
