Identification of a new drug candidate
for the treatment of neurodegenerative disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), using iPS cell drug discovery technology and its clinical trials
We are conducting research to elucidate the pathology of psychiatric and neurological disorders and drug discovery using iPS cells and cutting-edge measurement technology. In particular, we have identified ropinirole, a drug that suppresses the phenotype of ALS, a neurodegenerative disease, and has been conducting clinical trials using this drug since 2018 with the aim of gaining early approval.
Technology involving patent rights held by Keio University.
