Multi-wavelength laser source
for large-capacity optical communication
Large-bandwidth optical communication is achieved by wavelength division multiplexing, where lasers with different wavelengths are installed in parallel. We are developing a microresonator based optical frequency comb source where the generation of the multi-wavelength light is achieved with a single small device. We will show how this device could be used for optical telecommunication.
